Premium Facewash & Scrubs From Leading International Brands

About facewash and facial scrubs

Facewash should be used morning and night to cleanse and refresh your skin. For a deeper cleanse – to unclog pores and remove gunk, including dirt, oil (sebum) and dead skin – use an exfoliating face scrub.

A regular cleansing ritual will make all the difference to how your skin looks today and in years to come.

How to know which facewash to use

A facewash or cleanser is used to remove the day’s debris (dirt, sweat and makeup) from your skin without drying it out or causing irritation. But which facewash to choose?

Products are created for specific tasks and for each skin type. Try different products – gel, foaming facewash or cream – to see which gives the best result. Your skin should feel clean but not dry. Here’s how to choose the best facewash based on your skin type.

We also offer natural exfoliating face wash and scrubs for all skin types, from normal, dry and sensitive to oily, acne-prone complexions, that are full of nourishing, plant-based ingredients.

Best facewash for dry skin

Skin may be dry because it lacks lipids (fats), water or both. It can feel tight and look flaky. Usually, winter or dry summers exacerbate it.

Look for oil-, cream- or milk-based cleansers to retain precious oils and prevent further drying.

Best facewash for oily skin

Oily skin is more prone to pimples because it produces excess sebum.

It holds moisture well, so you should opt for an oil-free foaming facewash or cleanser that doesn’t block pores. Find one that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to help prevent breakouts.

Best facewash for sensitive skin

Skin can become irritated by using the wrong product, rather than skin actually being sensitive. If you have sensitive skin, test products on a small area before applying all over your face.

Stay away from products that contain fragrances and alcohols. Choose products that contain calming ingredients like green tea polyphenols, chamomile and aloe.

Best facewash for combination skin

Skin can be oily, dry or normal on different parts of your face.

The T-zone, which covers the forehead, nose and chin, is commonly oily while the remainder of the skin is normal or dry.

Choose a mild cleanser that isn’t too harsh and doesn’t strip the skin.

Best facewash for normal skin

If you’re lucky enough to have normal skin, you have your choice of products. Opt for a mild, neutral facewash that doesn’t strip the skin of softening oils.

Why you should exfoliate your face

Exfoliating your face is an essential part of any skincare regime because it removes the top layer of dead skin cells. These clog the pores, causing breakouts and a dull complexion.

Using a face scrub to exfoliate your skin will reveal fresh new skin below that can soak up your moisturiser leaving your skin glowing and healthy.

How to exfoliate your face with a face scrub

Use a small amount of face scrub on your finger or a brush and rub lightly in a circular motion for about 30 seconds.

Rinse off well with warm water – not hot – so the dead skin cells are washed off.

How often should you exfoliate?

This depends on your skin type. Avoid using overly abrasive exfoliating scrubs and try gentle face scrubs first to see what illuminates your skin without being abrasive.

If you have normal skin, you should exfoliate about three times a week.

People with oily skin can exfoliate more often.

If you have dry or sensitive skin, you may only need to exfoliate once a week. Concentrate on the area around the T-zone and use a very gentle exfoliator.
